[IT DOES NOT PAY TO BE A WHITE RACIST OR EVEN A BLACK ONE]
(a piece by Mr Markus Mpangala, a Facebook Friend of Blogger Phiri, translated into the
English by Phiri)
A certain white man and his monkey (his favourite pet) went to the bank; and on
arrival he chose a spot to keep his pet and tied it in that corner. But the environs for the tether around the monkey's neck were full of all-black
people.
And so in his racial superiority and arrogance, the white man got the brainwave to tell the darkies milling around his monkey one sense: “Please help watch over your brother my monkey here while
I am quickly into the bank, will you? His name is Macaco!”
The blacks naturally fumed and went so apoplectic about it they even killed the poor and innocent animal in retaliation for the racist insult from the white man at their black expense.
With a proud gait and a confident walk that reminded him that everything outside the bank was as he had left it before, the white supremacist re-emerged from the bank some 15-minutes later eager to reclaim his monkey and make it home.
But things had of course dramatically changed in some drastic and gory way. Monkey had been slain! And the blacks who were responsible for the Macaco slaying watched his rude surprise with a lot of amusement.
“WHO KILLED MY MACACO, YOU MONKEYS?”
The white man demanded to know.
The blacks laughed in chorus.
“Why are you concerned he died? Are you family? Don't you as white people have family matters wherein nobody outside the family should interfere?
“We tell you now: IT IS NONE OF YOUR BUSINESS SEEING THAT MACACO DIED FROM WOUNDS SUSTAINED DURING A FAMILY QUARREL AMONGS US AS MONKEY FAMILY FROM WHICH
SPECIES YOU HAVE EXCLUDED YOURSELF!”

Mzungu mmoja alifika benki na nyani wake, akaenda kumfunga sehemu walipokuwa wamekaa kikundi cha waafrika akawaambia "Embu mchungeni ndugu yenu huyu", na yeye akaingia benki.
Wale waafrika wakachukia kuambiwa wana undugu na nyani wakamuua yule nyani.
Aliporudi kumkuta nyani wake kafa akapanic kwa hasira na kuanza kuuliza aliyemuua nyani wake. Wakamjibu "Hayo ni mambo ya kifamilia hayakuhusu".
