HOW ZWELAKHE SISULU WAS BURIED WITH JACOB ZUMA’S MANGAUNG DREAMS

Horror of horrors! Jacob Zuma is trying for Mangaung to zombify dead Zwelakhe Sisulu in order to win the ANC-presidential race and we are damned if he indeed does win!

Yeah! And good riddance for bad Mandelasque-Xhosa-tribal rubbish namely Zwelakhe Sisulu!

He is dead at last! Or so I learn from the media and I remember seeing Mandelasque-Menial-Henchman Jacob Zuma, immaculately dressed as usual during these tribal rites and rituals, paying this one among his Sisulu tribal demigods the last obeisance and genuflection.

But for the occult world, he was not there for the funeral; rather he went there to dance dance the dead Sisulu for good luck with his Mangaung bid for a re-election come December when the ruling party, the African National Congress (ANC) will be electing Kgalema Motlanthe (or anybody else bar Zuma) to lead the 100-year-old party political-cum-liberation movement.

And so Zuma who was not only a non-great acquaintance of Zwelakhe but with the father for whom Zuma has biographically been presented one time too many as having been his jiver on Robben Island Prison last century, this time round Zuma went to the funeral of the ex-prisoner’s son only to jive and galvanize Zwelakhe Sisulu’s corpse for his own good-luck muti focus the Mangaung Conference in December 2012 where his enigmatic deputy Kgalema Motlanthe (or anybody else) could rise to challenge him for the disaster Jacob Zuma has been so far as South Africa’s head of state and First Citizen.

Zuma had to attend the funeral in order to impress the Eastern-Cape Province (the cultural home of the deceased; and a province that per Mandela’s design has traditionally criminally, if tribally, fielded in South African government employ more than a fair share of the demographics).

You as my reader will know that as of today, 7 out of 9 Provinces for the ANC have yelled  'Yeah' for a return of Zuma for a second term’s leadership of the party.  And one of the 7 is of course, is the late Zwelakhe Sisulu’s cultural home province, the Eastern Cape.

The Eastern CApe is also where Nelson Mandela was born and bred and even ‘buttered’ to see black progress in South Africa only through the eyes of that see the bread slices buttered his-own-fellow-Xhosa-speakers'-way: HENCE: 'BORN-AND-BREAD-AND-BUTTERED'.

The Eastern Cape Province of South Africa is also where Oliver Tambo came from.

This most impoverished and arguably most corrupt of this land's provinces (the Eastern Cape whre they say 'nothing of Zuma's government is functioning there') with a people least mixed with other Africans be they fellow-South-African or Africans up-Continental-north and in the Diaspora, is where Walter Sisulu (father of, among others, the deceased Zwelakhe Sisulu and the surviving Lindiwe Sisulu seen lasciviously being embraced by a Jacob Zuma on one of this blog post pictures) came from.

The Eastern Cape is also the birthplace of Lieutenant Colonel Goodman Manyanya Phiri's old friend, the literacy-shy Lieutenant-General-Templeton-Temba-Matanzima-turned-Defence-Ombudsman-by-Mandela-Hero-Worshiping-Zuma  who’d illegally worked hand in hand with the Zuma minion to spite Gauteng North’s Judge George Webster and thus send soldiers coming with an intention to kill me at home for exposing SANDF black racism and Manndelasque-Xhosa-tribalism-pro-Eastern-Cape all per pretext of an Anton Piller Court Order which the Honourable High Court Judge George Webster clearly had denied Zuma and his idiotic but highly-placed so-called Dr Lindiwer Nonceba Sisulu (then of course Minister of Defence where the Defence Department has been over-Xhosafied by all Mandela, Mbeki and now Mandela-simbamgodi/Mandela-menial-servant Jacob Zuma); and a couple of other guys like Max Sisulu whom I was fortunate to meet in London on the fateful 9/11 (the day Osama Bin Ladin attacked the USA while Manyanya Phiri was on the verge of a London underground train station entrance when the announcement had come blaring through loudhailers all ("All Flights to the United State of America Have Been Suspended!") due the doings of an Islamic bigot Bin Ladin not dissimilar to Nelson Mandela who thinks Xhosa rather than all humanity) and I think I enjoyed Max’s humility in comparison to the Mandelasque Xhosa tribal arrogance of siblings Lindiwe Nonceba Sisulu and Zwelakhe where 'Zwelakhe' means 'South Africa is his Land' hence he shut his reverse quadroon eyes to the fact that South African is a land for Goodman Manyanya Phiri too albeit Phiri not be Xhosa-speaking like he).

But let us come back to Zuma to see how on earth he succeeds to exhume a fresh corpse and devilishly dance with it while everybody else gathered there can not see the cadaverous spectacle seen only by a Phiri who never even attended the funeral.

Recall that Jacob Zuma came to power in Polokwane those many moons ago on one and one ticket. TRIBALISM.

No, he did not go to power and Trounce Xhosa-speaking Thabo Mbeki (and Mandelasque Xhosa tribalist he, I need stress), BECAUSE ZUMA IS PERHAPS FIELDED BY ZULU TRIBALISTS.  That kind of thinking was created an agent of Mandela’s tribalism called Terror Lekota, citing the 100% Zulu T-shirts that Jacob Zuma all over the country-the so-called Zuma tsunami- were wearing UNSPOKENLY TO CRUSH FROM THE ANC MANDELASQUE XHOSA TRIBALISM STARTED IN THE 1940’S MUCH SUPPORTED BY LEKOTA THEN SOUTH AFRICA MINISTER OF DEFENCE.

When the masses of our people, including the vast majority of Xhosa-speaking fellow-countrymen and women agreed that Mandelasque Xhosa tribalism going on in South Africa today since 1994 is as evil (if not worse for its indolence and ignorance once ensconced as it is today and was yesterday respectively under Jacob Zuma’s govern and the governments of Thabo Mbeki and Nelson Mandela) as Apartheid was AND MUST BE QUASHED BY ELECTING A ZUMA EDUCATED OR NOT EDUCATED AND A ZUMA FACING CRIMINAL CHARGES OR NOT…

…Some genius somewhere cooked up the spy tapes in order to buy Jacob Zuma’s soul and make him continue to serve Mandelasque Xhosa tribalism in the name of Zulu.  This then is the reason why Zuma’s own tsunami and the counter waves of the phenomenon that brought him to power are now promising to sink him deep into the ocean of his political rise.  And the fight is on to save him; there are shrieking voices from all corners to have respected even though he has always refused to respect himself. There are calls that other potential candidates must not stand to oppose him or else.

But deep down under these pro-Zuma calls is the subsonic cry of fat cats (half of them good-for-nothing except receive their salaries and loot the state with both corruption and plain theft defended of course by their man Jacob Zuma who is nonetheless too quick to order the mowing down of ordinary citizens at Marikana Mine) in all departments of  state who have been put there just because they are related one way or the other with Nelson Mandela, with Nelson Mandela’s IsiXhosa Language, with Nelson Mandela’s birth Province, the Eastern Cape.

THE LESSONS LEARNT BY ORDINARY XHOSA-SPEAKERS FROM ZUMA’S LEADERSHIP OF THE ANC.

1.       He has protected the clover created by Nelson Mandela for his tribe and his relatives at state expense

2.      He promises them five more years of looting state coffers before Mandelasque Xhosa Tribalism-cum-black racism can be buried and forgotten as has just happened with Zwelakhe Sisulu (of whom I owe reader a serious adumbration on lower paragraphs herein).

3.      He has kept his exile-day menial discipline to Mandelasque Xhosa tribalism of being ruthless on those who, like Phiri, openly criticize this evil tribalism.

4.      His hunting tongue has well-developed taste-buds for the red herring; and they can be sure that greed of his for money and women will ensure them a hands-free drive into further looting and destruction of South Africa as their man at the driver seat (prospectively Jacob Zuma) will be pre-occupied with his own looting of state coffers to bother them being tribalists with comparatively very insignificant purloining in the name of the Eastern Cape of Nelson Mandela.  In any case, a species of thieves or any other creature, rarely if ever go out to destroy individuals of own kind.

Even though I do not understand the motives of the six other ANC Provinces for fielding Zuma for their candidates for Mangaung; but I am convinced the Eastern Cape and beneficiary par excellence of all of South Africa’s Zuma-state-sponsored corruption, violence, looting, poor discipline at service delivery, profligacy and the officialization of fornication for promotion of women as the only means.

That being said, much so with the well-demonstrated cruel determination of the Zuma camp to use VIOLENCE and STATE POWERS with which Zuma manufactures charges for those threatening the ongoing black racism cum-Mandelasque Xhosa tribalism of which Zuma, as was in exile days, is a mere menial servant WHERE DOES THIS LEAVE ANYBODY WHO WANTS TO STAND AGAINST JACOB ZUMA IN MANGAUNG.

I mean, picture yourself being Kgalema Motlanthe, Matthew Phosa, Julius Malema or anybody theoretically intending to oust very democratically a Jacob Zuma clearly at the end of his political tether and a man out of his luck of dodging courts to answer for his string of dubious dealings at the state expense and therefore a desperado who fears finding himself in jail by end of 2013 if he should lose the Mangaung battle…

Would you have the balls to come out into the open and say: I WILL OPPOSE ZUMA?

Chances are you will come out of course and announce yourself; except the chances are statistically at the same level as the chances of a snowball in hell.

I mean, our great and beloved African National Congress, instead of celebrating freedom of choice and association and suffrage, is wincing from the tightening vice grip of fear and threat.  On its hundredth anniversary, the ANC has turned into an organization besieged by racists pro-Mandela’s Eastern Cape fighting for their survival as South Africa’s perpetual fatcats at least within the movement.  This translates to the whole of the Republic of South Africa being equally besieged seeing that there is no doubt that I, many other swarthier individuals in the Republic of South Africa (including lighter-skinned South Africans) WILL RETURN THE ANC TO POWER COME NEXT NATIONAL ELECTIONS WHETHEER ZUMA IS TROUNCED OR NOT IN DECEMBER.

WHAT DOES ALL OF THIS MEAN?

Your guess is as good as mine on the meaning of this quandary.  However I do not wince on my comments and analysis of the way forward and dhow things are bound to pan out.

1.     Since the fear for losing one’s life or going to jail on trumped-up charges (I have first hand experience of these attempts on me) are real for a Motlanthe, a Phosa or a Malema who is already wallowing in that prosecutorial soup at his own expense BRAVERY or COWARDICE become two of the passwords for winning against Jacob Zuma in Mangaung.

2.      Everybody loves a brave man or woman for that matter; need I say it? They will love..I do it always.. a brave criminal more than a cowardly good man (and that is why we all watch movies of the Mafia, Al Capone and you-name-them). NOW, WATCH THIS: JACOB ZUMA HAS PROVEN HIMSELF AS ONE OF THE BRAVEST MEN EVER TO WALK PLANET EARTH (AND PLEASE MAKE NO MISTAKE ABOUT THAT).  And his bravery is one of the factors that caused ANC delegates to favour him over a contending Thabo Mbeki who often cut the picture an intellectual but sissy who only used State power to suppress opponents.  Zuma’s opponents are not doing either themselves, the ANC, or the country any good by all the flinching they are doing on the 11th hour to Mangaung:  the heroic people of South Africa-black as well as white-, inclusive of the ANC delegates heading soon for Mangaung: HATE COWARDS AND THIS IS THE ONE AND ONLY REASON THAT WILL, IF EVER, BRING ZUMA ZOOMING BACK TO POWER POST MANGAUNG.

3.      Now those senior people in our beloved ANC who love their personal survival more than they love their land (which is busy sinking to its lowest-ever-level under Jacob Zuma): those senior people who are vacillating and refuse to show their hand and announce their intentions come December month and its momentous Mangaung Conference of the ANC; those people who are too afraid to die for opposing Zuma’s second return as ANC leader, PLEASE LISTERN TO ME:

a.       You  shall have the blood and pain of thousands of South African post-Mangaung for being too cowardly because after re-election, guess what, Jacob Zuma and his Mandelasque-Xhosa-racist masters pro-Eastern Cape will not stop their apparent looting of state coffers with their corruption, will not stop causing thereby social upheavals in South that one day could make June 16 1976 a mere hide-and-seek game; and South Africa will go into flames even before Zuma finishes his second term in government all because of your cowardice to stand up and be counted among those who, like Julius Malema, has joined the masses of ordinary South Africans who find Jacob Zuma more detestable than John Vorster was back in 1976!

b.      There lives of your own that you Ladies and Gentlemen are not ready loose at the hands of Zumaniacs like Kebby Maphatsoe who threatens to do something terrible to you if you show your preparedness to remove a Gaddafi-like half-educated ruthless dictator like Jacob Zuma, you will still lose those lives when South Africa, like Muammar Gadaffi’s Libya, hits its own social and bloody upheavals the few coming years after Zuma’s re-election

4.      Having put my ideas about Mangaung anti-Zuma vacillators, politics should of course never be oversimplified or personalized.  It does not necessarily follow that once Zuma is out post-Mangaung we will see the Second Coming of Jesus Christ.  One needs to remember that as I type away my ideas right now, deals could we be  being cut among big shots of the ruling African National Congress; and those deals are being cut with Zuma’s collaboration on how to remove him quietly.

5.      Every single one of those deals needs must revolve around South Africa Central and most crucial challenge eversince 1994 (for the country) and 1940 (for the ANC) which is :
HOW TO COMBAT MANDELASQUE XHOSA TRIBALISM AND BLACK RACISM PRO-EASTERN CAPE THAT IS EATING AWAY ON THE FIBRE OF SOUTH AFRICAN SOCIETY CORRUPTING AND EMASCULATING THE ANC, THE DEPARTMENT OF DEFENCE, AND JUST ABOUT ANY OTHER DEPARTMENT AND SPHERE OF GOVERNMENT INCLUDING THE DEPARMENT OF COMMUNICATION.

ZWELAKHE SISULU AN ARCHITECT OF MANDELASQUE XHOSA TRIBALISM IN SOUTH AFRICA

As a journalist myself, it pain my heart to remember Fellow-Journalist the late Zwelakhe Sisulu in the unsavoury terms I do today.  Unsavoury for you as the reader unacquainted with Mandela-to-Zuma-state-sponsored tribalism pro-Eastern cape, but, hey VERY MUCH HEALING for Phiri.

I know that those who benefited and still benefit from Mandelasque black racism in government will of course fume and call Phiri disrespectful of the dead.

But I say the dead are never dead but they are alive with us. And if we do not straighten issues like requiems, odes, etc of tribalists like Zwelakhe Sisulu, from his grave will sprout a hundred other Mandelasque Xhosa tribalists who will demand from South Africa, from African and from the world to have senior leadership position “WE ARE RELATED BY TRIBE, SURNAME OR WHATEVER TO GREAT MAN THE LATE ZWELAKHE SISULU”.

So I write today to straighten the nonsense that Zwelakhe Sisulu was a great man.  He was per my understanding “grown” a great man status solely because his father, Walter Sisulu, who was in prison then together with Nelson Mandela.

Oh yes, he wrote some anti-apartheid articles in one newspaper or the other, but his were of course given prominence because of his father, Walter, who, by the way is one of Mandela’s co-authors of South Africa’s current racism/tribalism pro Mandela’s Eastern Cape.

THE TRUE TRIBAL COLOURS OF ZWELAKHE SISULU EMERGE

The mid-1990s did not only see South Africa ushered into her most welcome democracy, but it also saw the first affirmative action for previously disadvantaged black people a.k.a. “reverse racism” which is constutionally called “fair discrimination”.  And so Mandela went into wholesale removal of white folks in senior position and put black ones.  But guess what? More than a fair share of those individuals he promoted on skin colour basis (making his exercise a “constitutionally unfair discrimination exercise”) where people with links with his home province the Eastern Cape.

One of those people so promoted was the son of Mandela’s co-racist Walter Sisulu and his his name:

(You guessed right) ZWELAKHE SISULU WHO BECAME CHIEF EXECUTIVE OFFICER OF THE SOUTH AFRICAN BROADCASTING CORPORATION-SABC boggling my mind how on earth you Mandela could take a print journalist like Zwelakhe and put him at helm of journalists who electronically experienced.  Maybe that is not a serious issue.

The serious issue is, no sooner did Mandela have Sisulu appointed for the National Broadcasters, he himself went on air that more blacks will be appointed to senior position at the SABC and first preference will go to journalists of the broad liberation struggle principally from the then Clarence-Makwetu-led Pan Africanist Congress-PAC and the Mandela-led African National Congress.

MANQOBA QUBEKA-PAC

Of course they did stream in and from my organization the PAC I know of Journalist Manqoba Qubeka who was bragging even pre-1994 that he was heading for in the SABC. And I believe he made it. Manqoba is Xhosa-speaker and this was the time when Clarence Makwetu, then PAC President was busy tribalizing the PAC pro- his tribe and harshly victimizing Phiri for reporting to a then Johnson-Mlambo PAC how Jacob Zuma and company were in the ANC killing comrades (like one cadre codenamed “Giovanni”) who were perceived to be anti-tribalism.

I had attended the same Journalism College with Xhosa-speaking Manqoba Qubeka, but he was not half the swan of a student that Phiri would turn out to beat Tanzania School of Journalism, nor did he have the amount of experience Phiri would amass (under the name of “Mordecai King”) at Radio Tanzania Dar es-Salaam via The Voice of the Pan Africanist Congress of Azania and its Military Wing The Azanian People’s Liberation Army-APLA.

But of course Manqoba Qubeka as a Xhosa-speaker had to get a first preference under Nelson Mandela’s tribalist government leadership.  I hope Mr Qubeka, my fellow-scribe, you are still alive and can respond to my blog post.  I am shooting from the hip brother against the Mandela created Xhosa tribalism and black racism in South Africa today!

NOMTHANDAZO PEMBA-ANC

Journalist Nomthandazo Pemba is a most painful person to write about. I hope she and her husband forgive me for writing what I write about in the following lines.  The couple remains one of my best friends but that is the idiocy of racism/tribalism: it seeks to tear friends, family, spouses apart.  And I need to say that I know that Nomthandazo was a victim of women sexual oppression by male sexual predators and she is not a perpetrator and I thank her husband and her children for accepting her as a heroine of the liberation struggle.  So nothing of what I write here should be counted as a negative on Nomthandazo Pemba, her husband, her children who are also great friends of mine or her family at large.

Yet I am not apologizing for this writing, Nomthandazo, if you should find it hurtful.  I HAVE TO WRITE IT IN ORDER TO DEFEND MYSELF AGAINST WHO IS TO ME “CRIMINAL JACOB ZUMA WHO WANTS TO STAY IN POWER POST-MANGAUNG BY UPHOLDING MANDELASQUE XHOSA TRIBALISM IN SOUTH AFRICA”.

Nomthandazo Pemba (I am using her maiden name here in order to shield her from unnecessary digital scrutiny) is the most affable human being you can ever meet.  She is a most beautiful woman. Wittiest. Bubbliest and will chaff you regardless of your tribe or race.  That woman is a world citizen in the waiting of the futuristic dismantling political, national and geographical borders for human beings.  And let me say this one thing about her: if I had the chance or kismet to marry Nomthandazo, I would have married her because she is great company too.

However, Journalist Nomthandazo, a Xhosa-speaker as well as a Tshawe and hence a true Xhosa (and not the Mandela lie that ‘anybody who is born speaking the Xhosa language including Thembu-tribe he-Mandela, ‘is a Xhosa’) holds a huge anti-apartheid secret relating to sexual exploitation women in the eighties under the reigns of Jacob Zuma as chief intelligence officer of the ANC.

Legend has it that current (2012) Chief of the South African Army, a certain Lieutenant General Masondo (Xhosa-speaking) who worked hand-in-glove with South African Army Intelligence Chief Norman Yengeni (Xhosa-speaking), under the orders of then Acting South African National Defence Force Chief (now turned South Africa’s Ombudsman for Department of Defence) Temba Templeton Matanzima, WILL ALL OF THEM UNDER THE ORDERS OF JACOB ZUMA AND MINISTER-CUM-SISTER-OF-DECEASED-ZWELAKHE SISULU…chief of the South African Army Masondo had a father of course!

His father was Xhosa-speaking Andrew Masondo, a National Executive Committee member of the African National Congress in the early 80’s and a ruthless man who worked hand-in-glove with the Jacob Zumas to brutalize ANC cadres who opposing Mandelasque Xhosa tribalism in the ANC camps of exile.  Andrew Masondo (and father of Jacob Zuma’s choice of Chief of the South African Army) was so crass in his tribal brutality that even Eastern-Cape-regionalist Oliver Tambo had to find ways and means of removing him from the Executive Position the ANC had given him.

It was a Tambo tactical move as tribalists, racists and all other secret-organization members never in fact desert members of their own species.

And so they took Andrew Masondo (Nelson Mandela was post 1994 to honour Andrew Masondo with a lieutenant-general’s rank in the SANDF as a thank you for his tribalism in exile) out of NEC work; but made him a school principal of young, tender and vulnerable schoolchildren of Solomon Mahlangu Freedom College situated in Morogoro’s Mazimbu suburb.

Legend has it that, just like Jacob Zuma will have sex with anybody with a vagina (including friends’daughters), Jacob Zuma’s fellow-agent pro-Eastern-Cape Mandelasque-tribe supremacy           (and father to current Chief of the South African Army Masondo Junior) would staturorily rape the female schoolchildren of Solomon Mahlangu Freedom College.

Legend has it that one of such schoolchildren was nobody else but a Nomthandazo Pemba who even went pregnant with the statutory rape.

Now watch this: the ANC in exile frowned upon abortions.  Yet Nomthandazo Pemba was either encourage to conduct an abortion (which abortion she in fact did conduct) OR Zuma’s recently appointed Chief of the South African Army’s father and man who is supposed to have impregnated Nomthandazo (Andrew Masondo) was by Oliver Tambo left off the hook while Zuma, the Zulu menial servant to Mandela’s tribalism just giggle on the sides and never made this an issue because he was also probably busy with his own raping sprees or abuse of vulnerable or young women cadres of the ANC.

Nomthandazo Pemba was subsequently sent to a penitentiary, the Dakawa Camp where I lived for several years.

I am to meet Nomthandazo for the first time ever when around 1992 we were together doing a course of journalism at the Ilala suburb of Dar es-Salaam.  No sooner did I meet her than other journalism students whispered to me what had happened to her at the hands (or at the legs, particularly third leg) of 1980s’Andrew Masondo and father of 2012’s Zuma choice for Chief of the SA Army and collaborator in the Zuma plan to assassinate Phiri via six heavily armed military policemen whose uniformed had been illegally removed during the said operation back in March 2011 when Zuma and Lindiwe Sisulu made their first attempt on my life as Lieutenant Colonel Phiri

One of those rare moments when Jacob Zuma can legitimately embrace a woman without accusations of lasciviousness.  Here Zuma is supposedly consoling Lindiwe Sisulu for the death of  her brother Zwelakhe Sisulu.  Bar Max Sisulu (who is standing next to the embracers), Blogger Phiri thinks Lindiwe is a yin carbon copy of her dead brother Zwelakhe Sisulu.  Just like her dead brother who never accounted why Phiri and the best South African foreign-trained Broadcast-journalist would not  get a job in the South African Broadcasting Corporation-SABC around 1997, Lindiwe Sisulu, with her possible (though not probable) former exile-sweetheart-relationship with skirt-chaser Jacob Zuma, worked hand in hand with the former to defy Gauteng North Judge Webster who had said “[No, to an Anton Piller against Lieutenant Colonel Goodman Manyanya Phiri for Phiri’s blogging on SANDF corruption per Zuma’s condonation]”.  Watch her look sideways as the blasphemously-crooked face of the man who has a silly way with women’s sexuality seeks a reciprocation of his quizzically naughty look! Methinks South Africa as a nation can redeem the surviving Sisulu Family (like Lindiwe and Max) from the canker created by their father (Walter Sisulu) and Nelson Mandela over the two Eastern-Cape-Regionalists’ false tribal claim to superiority of their fellow-Xhosa-speakers! I mean: Cabinent Minister Lindiwe Sisulu in spite of a State President whose days are numbered  is looking SIDEWAYS in order to give the message to Zuma that: “Look, libidinous Sir: this is my brother’s funeral and secondly, I am now supposedly married to some Kenyan/Zambian scholar or something along those lines and if you ever crossed my emotional path as the super crosser you are, FORGET IT” This picture is courtesy  South Africa's The Citizen on-line

When I met Nomthandazo back then, I fell in love with her; and I told her I loved her.

She answered me in Kiswahili: “Ninamchumba wangu” (and it means “I am engaged” or “I have a betrothed one for me”)

It was for me amazing to see a Xhosa-speaker speaking such beautiful and perfect Kiswahili Language as most of these Mandelasque Xhosa tribalists in exile looked down on the Kiswahili language and Swahili-speakers themselves whom they said stink so much they do not want to associate with them or learn their language.  But of course, Nomthandazo was not one of those Mandelasque Xhosa tribalists artificially Xhosafied by Apartheid Dogma and Mandela’s lies as to who is a Xhosa in South. Nomthandazo is a true Xhosa and a child of the heroic children of ancient African King Tshawe.

I got to like Nomthandazo even more as a friend; and we always talked Kiswahili (rather than Zulu, Xhosa or English) whenever we met.  We still do even as of this 2012 when we phone each other.  But just to reiterate, I think her husband and her children have got the best woman and mother they could ever have.  She is worth her weight in gold.

Indeed, so much is her worth that I do not blame Zwelakhe Sisulu for having given her even without a blink a post in the SABC, post 1994.  Yet I am convinced even if Nomthandazo were a dunce (which she is not) and worked hard to pass her journalism diploma alongside myself, Zwelakhe would have not hesitated to hire her, BECAUSE, ACCORDING TO THE RACIST AND NEFARIOUS PLANS HATCHED BY WALTER SITULU AND FRIEND NELSON MANDELA IN 1940’S, NOMTHANDAZO PEMBA IS ZWELAKHE SISULU’S FELLOW XHOSA-SPEAKER WHO SUPREMACY IN SOUTH AFRICA MUST ALWAYS BE CULTIVATED WHETHER OR NOT SHE DELIVERS AS A STATE EMPLOYEE!

MONDE TSHONGWENI-ANC

The most handsome and friendliest of gentlemen I have ever met in my life has so far been Xhosa-speaking fellow-journalist: African National Congress’s Monde Tshongweni (the late).

Needless to say, Monde was not a Mandelasque Xhosa tribalist; and I remember during my hardest of times in the mid-1980s of being systematically shunned current SANDF Major General Mohato Daniel Mofokeng (a brother-in-law to Mandelasque-Xhosa-tribalists and ex-APLA commander), Journalist Monde Tshongweni and his beautiful wife Lindiwe Mafike-Tshongweni paid me a memorable visit at my Hillbrow Flat at Highpoint.  I will never forget just how important I felt from their visit even though I was otherwise in the doldrums then, the first cousin to a hobo because of South Africa’s Mandelasque Xhosa tribalism practiced even to this day by myopic but greedy Jacob Zuma the Zulu.

While Zwelakhe Sisulu would emerge as post-ap!artheid as one of the government's chief agents of Mandelasque-Xhosa tribalism, Mandela had other minions ante-Apartheid like Mr Jacob Zuma and Mr Daniel Mofoekeng as pictured above to do the dirty work of his asinine  idea of so-called Xhosa-tribe intellectual superioritty.  Mr Daniel Mohato Mofokeng (a.k.a. "Romero": born Monday 20 February 1956) and former Azanian People's Liberation Army's Commander (albeit for about  3 months after a suspected hit on erstwhile  defacto and non-racist Xhosa-speaking APLA commander Sabelo Phama/Sabelo Gqwetha).  Mofokeng (a spouse  to a Xhosa-speaker) is not only  the man who worked for  the Mandelaists like Jacob Zuma  to retaliate against Phiri's anti-racism by banishing  the latter's wife (Leonilde)  to  tanzania, but sources  have it  that Mofokeng is  the one who has been consistently giving Phiri  the bad name in  the South African National Defence Force for  the benefit of a Zuma indoctrinated as early as age 15  into believing in racial superiority of Nelson Mandela's race of  the Eastern Cape where Mofokeng found a wife named "Pearl".
Outside of Zuluman Jacob Zuma, it is extremely hard for me to imagine anybody in the past solid 24 to 27 years of my life and fight against black racism pro Mandela’s Xhosa speaking Thembu and other Eastern-Cape races than Mofokeng.  Truth and Reconciliation Commission’s Case Number JB04241/01GTSOW (GOODMAN MANYANYA PHIRI AND HIS TANZANIAN WIFE AND CHILDREN) had to be launched because of the orders of Mofokeng to the late Benson Mandindi and Monezi Gcilitshe (UNHCR repatriation officer and PAC Chief Representative Acting, respectively) in Dar-es Salaam 1994 to tear down a United Nations High Commission for Refugees Repatriation order issued legally for my Tanzanian wife and first: Leonilde Makafu-Phiri. Mofokeng succeeded after my launching of the grievance with the TRC, to go and convince Xhosa-speaking Bishop Tutu who was heading the TRC Commission, that “[Phiri is talking lies about atrocities of exile camps under Jacob Zuma’s intelligence control pro-Mandela’s fellow-Xhosa-speakers of the Eastern Cape]”.  Another area of Mofokeng’s involvement in undermining my case: When I discovered years later about participation of some white racists within the South African National Defence Force (in cahoots with the Boeremag and hitherto wrote to the State President to reveal the criminal negligence or/and participation in the military coup plot of the extreme right, it is Mofokeng who joined my enemies to put a different spin to the whole matter and once again suggested not only falsely that I had put the letter to the President to the Mass Media but went further to impugn  to the SANDF organization that [“everything Phiri does is against Mofokeng’s brothers-in-law-the-Xhosas”].  When  on 9 March 2001 I got charged, naturally my legal defence counsel subsequently advised me to get affidavits from my potential witnesses to my innocence of those charges, but and when I in Lohatlha near Kimberly circa 2002 stood in front of the Army class/course I had been  with during the previous year of Zuma-condoned-fornication-for-promotion in Pretoria-Thabatshwane, talking to them in that Lohatlha unit and  pleading for any who could be witnesses on a case that had been fabricated to cover up for “Mandela’s relative”  who is the fornicating-for-promotion-Zini-Bobelo , it is self-same she who is Mofokeng’s former subordinate (Zini-Bobelo) who subsequently (and very immediately after my plea in front of the class) organized an all-Xhosa-speaker meeting aimed at warning any of her fellow race (of Xhosa-speakers) who would dare give me a statement because, as he maligned me, [“Goodman Manyanya Phiri is hell-bent for the destruction of the Xhosa nation who are the owners of the African National Congress through Cousin Nelson Mandela”].  Notably, Mr. THEMBELANI THANDEKILE XUNDU, one of the Xhosas who knew my innocence from the Drost trumped up charges of 2001, DEFIED Mofokeng’s former subordinate and gave a  statement which is proof enough that it is not all Xhosa speakers who are evil enough to get their henchman Zuma signing off  of people like Phiri or signing the burying alive of those two Coloureds (natives of the Western Cape and Northern per South African parlance) back in the mid-80, a an identification of their secret graves Mr. Zuma still owes not only South Africans and the families of those Coloured killed so grimly by Zuma signatures  and commandership of Xhosaman Mr. Robert Mance, but HE OWES IT TO THE INTERANTIONA COMMUNTIY TOO.   The other thing not to be forgotten about Mofokeng is the fact that he was the major domo of integration to the SANDF of us APLA forces, and oversaw as such all matters of former APLA members even after integration (these days that office is held by wife of query-slain APLA commander Sabelo Phama who is Dudu).  But the days before Eddie Drost brought up his trumped up charges of 9 March 2001, I saw a dispatch from the office of Mofokeng who had come to confabulate with Eddie Drost.  His name is Matolweni.  Coming back to the issue of Lohatlha, I know it is Mofokeng who told Zini-Bobelo the lies about me being a Xhosa hater, because the reports of the gruesome killing and burying alive of comrades or burying them in secret greaves that was perpetrated by Mazimbu/Solomon Mahlangu administrator Mr. Robert Mance per orders of a Zuma who was sitting in Lusaka as head of Intelligence and Counter Intelligence, such reports which I gave very secretly to The Azanian People’s Liberation Army back in 1987, could not have leaked to Zini-Bobelo (a former ex-MK member)) except per someone as high to the APLA as Mofokeng!  One senior officer who had once attended Chief of the SANDF Commander Zuluman Nyanda’s meeting which his generals and heads of divisions was to come to me in grace shock and querying me what wrong did I ever commit against Mofokeng.  And when I followed up that question, the officer in question sat in a session where General Nyanda had genuinely wanted low-down about Phiri and why his case was taking so long.  Mofokeng, who had attended that meeting, is reported to have told General Nyanda that Phiri is a mere hater of Xhosa people and somebody never to have his case taken seriously.  Mofokeng is a Major General in the SANDF.

Journalist Monde Tshongweni is not one of the Jacob Zuma steps in the jive with the corpse of Mandela-misappointed Zwelakhe Sisulu.  But even though the SABC was without my Xhosa-speaking friend Monde Tshongweni’s services, SOME OTHER  MANDELA DEPARTMENT FOUND EASY EMPLOY  FOR MY FRIEND while I was by Mandela being slowly but surely reduced into a Hillbrow hobo!  I suspect Monde became an employee of the Provincial Gauteng legislature.  Maybe Zwelakhe Sisulu should rest in peace with the issue of Monde. But Nelson Mandela will neither die in peace nor rest in peace with this (and I even suspect that in his afterlife as Mandela, many of the victims of his racism starting from the 1940’s to this 2012 and beyond with Jacob Zuma re-elected at Mangaung, are bound to make Nelson Mandela run the gauntlet in hell)

LINDIWE MAFIKE-ANC

O Another one to make racist Zwelakhe Sisulu rest in peace while giving perpetual spiritual unrest to Nelson Mandela is a most beautiful ethnically-Xhosa-speaking woman journalist  (although her mother is Sotho): Lindiwe Mafike.

Lindiwe did not go to Zwelakhe Sisulu’s SABC.

Lindiwe and her future husband then back around 1992, were in the same journalism class with me as Phiri.  For that matter, they courted each other at the school.  I was happy for them, albeit slightly jealous of my friend Monde for bagging a very erudite chick who has down the years got a book or two authored by herself.

Long after the demise of her husband, Lindiwe is still a friend of mine. We are even tot this day in contact on Facebook.  Furthermore, I had met Lindiwe Mafike’s equally affable father, the late Jimmy Pambo who was the Department of Defence’s Chief Finance Officer.

In short, I love this Xhosawoman.  She is lovable; and she and her late husband Monde are part of the chief reason why I refuse to refer to all Xhosa-speakers as racists and tribalists alongside Nelson Mandela and the late Zwelakhe Sisulu, BECAUSE THEY ARE NOT!

GOODMAN MANYANYA PHIRI AND RUN-IN WITH TRIBALIST ZWELAKHE SISULU

It is for me very strange that while in 1979 I was dong my Grade 11 at Thembeka Senior Secondary School I dreamt of being a journalist.  Even more strange that the guy I shared my dreams with was a journalist who told me point-blank “it was impossible for me to be a wordsmith”, despite the fact that I was that year the school’s best English language student!

More bizarre is the fact that this discourager of mine was a journalist for that matter named like myself “Phiri” and so since “my brother Phiri” of Laevelder Newspaper or some similar publication of the year had discouraged me from journalism, I FORGOT ABOUT JOURNALISM BECAUSE ANY SANE MAN SHOULD RESPECT HIS OWN COUSINS, COUSINS’VIEWS,AND COUSINS’EXPERIENCES!

I forgot until around 1987, Pan Africanist Congress of Azania Leader and predecessor to Clarence Makwetu (Johnson Mlambo) apparently viewed my penmanship and apparently recommended to his executive in the PAC to send me for a journalism course.  So I want to use this paragraph to also thank Comrade Johnson Mlambo for having been there for me in my most trying of times.  Mlambo is also the man who came to my rescue when SANDF Major General Mohato Daniel Mofokeng was essentially disowning me as a PAC member by virtue of refusing me integration in the early 1980s with the SANDF from APLA, and by going to Archbishop Desmond Tutu’s sham Truth and Reconciliation Commission to falsely claim that I and my Tanzanian-born first wife were systematically tortured and are to this day still being tortured and persecuted through various means by Mofokeng and  his new Master, Jacob Zuma.  I will also not hide the fact here that I have been blessed by God to cross several times post apartheid with Comrade Johnson Mlambo, his lovely and most culturally-polished wife bragging for my brain a pleasant escape route.  I have also met a brother to Mlambo who fathered Judge Dunstan Mlambo of South Africa’s Labour Court if my records are still up-to-date.  Judge Dunstan Mlambo and I personally know each other since we went in the late 1970s to the same High School, Thembeka Senior Secondary School in Kanyamazane, Nelspruit.  While the judge was a class ahead of mine, his sister (I am not sure anymore if her name is “Thoko”) was methinks for 24 months in the same class with me.  Indeed if the Judge was the School’s wildly fastest athlete and bragging a bunch of muscles all over his body, the sister was a lot more subdued, forever putting forward flawless ladylike manners, with her favourite posture or gait being hands clasped together with fingers laced with the maroon jersey of our Thembeka School uniform.  On a post-apartheid visit to the Johnson-Mlambo family, I met my classmate again and she is still the same woman I last saw around 1980.  I looked at the elder brother, the Judge: he has lost all his muscles and his athletic ways, but he has clearly developed muscles in the most unexpected of organs: THE BRAIN!  May I then in passing say, I pray that God bless every single one who is surnamed Mlambo.  I still survive to this day because of a contribution that one of your sons (perhaps the one Robben-Island-Political-Prisoner who sacrificed most for losing his eye on the island over and above many years of being mock-buried alive by the Boers and urinated upon on the same Island), Former-Robben-Island-Political-Prisoner Johnson Mlambo either personally or thought the great PAC party made in my life.  I say may your name be emblazoned in Africa roll of heroes and heroines, ye Children of Mlambo! And Children of Siziba, indeed! You have played angels to me and I thank you!  And I also thank my female friend Sindiswa Sigela who cemented my friendship with you great people of Mlambo-Siziba/ “River/The Deep Pool”!

So, when Johnson Mlambo’s stellar administration of the PAC in the late 1980’s surprisingly found a journalist-in-the-making in me, I not only took their brainwave seriously, but I went to that College (then called Tanzania School of Journalism) and set an as-yet-unbroken record per my current understanding:  THE FIRST AND LAST NON-TANZANIAN TO ACHIEVE AN OVER-ALL  FIRST CLASS OVER AND ABOVE BEING THE BEST STUDENT IN KISWAHILI FOR BEGINNERS.  I subsequently went to practice at Radio Tanzania my acquired profession with accolades from Tanzanian leaders, from APLA trainees, from Johnson Mlambo himself who would frequently call me and other journalists to house then situated close to the United States Embassy to be bombed years down the line by Osama bin Laden leaving scores of innocent Tanzanians dead or maimed.  I was also praised even by Europeans who wrote to express my professionalism as a broadcast presenter of current affairs for the PAC.  But I will never forget the beautiful smile of one veteran broadcast journalist Eda Sanga (who was also my tutor for Broadcasting as a course at the Tanzania School of Journalism).

You see, I had presented the previous evening a radio programme as part of my ‘practicals’ and Eda had clearly listened over to the radio when I went on-air only to be deeply impressed.  And so she meets me at the College the following morning with her gapped smile and the Swahili words:

“[Wewe Bwana, ni moto na hatari yake]

[loosely and contextually translated: “I have listened to your radio presentation and am proud of you as my journalistic product of fire and brimstone”]

Before I return to Zwelakhe Sisulu I must state that Eda Sanga had some things for me some of which were the fact that I found her to be a most beautiful senior lady; secondly she had a daughter not dissimilar to her in terms of great looks; and thirdly that she was resident in a corner of Dar es-Salaam referred to in Kiswahili as “Kituo cha Fire” which is a corner where another angel like Eda Sanga emerged for me in the shape of a lady with a forgotten name who moved heaven and earth and succeeded to get my first wife Leonilde Makafu-Phiri her first international passport after Mandelasque-Xhosa tribalists led by PAC President Clarence Makwetu and APLA 3-months’ Commander Romero Mofokeng had torn my wife’s legitimate United-Nations-proffered passport as revenge for me reporting acts of brutality to the PAC as perpetrated by people like Jacob Zuma in the ANC in dastardly defence of Mandelasque Xhosa Superiority as a race in Morogoro.

But to return to Zwelakhe Sisulu and part of the tribal ilk pro-Mandemania....

....And so while Zwelakhe Sisulu’s reign of the SABC in the 1990s had, at least per mere public relation’s exercise, a Mandela-order to prioritize former freedom fighters in the employ of the SABC, I realized that there was a concerted campaign (SANDF Major General Mohato Daniel Mofokeng must have been involved therein ) by Mandelasque Xhosa tribalists within the PAC under Clarence Makwetu to ensure I never as a soldier integrated with the SANDF,I I reckoned as the best student ever produced by South Africa for a study for journalism in Tanzania I was eligible (per Mandela’s  Public Relations announcement) for employ with the SABC that has ostensibly already employed students of lesser caliber like Xhosa-speaking Manqoba Qubeka, Xhosa-speaking Nomthandazo Pemba and a host of other products ex-Tanzania School of Journalism I may never have met from the ANC and the PAC.

I put in an application (an abnormality in itself seeing that ex-freedom fighters were seconded by their parties to Zwelakhe) with the SABC and Zwelakhe, more or less like Arch-Bishop Emeritus Xhosa-speaking Desmond Tutu would do with his TRC, not only refused to give Phiri employ at the SABC, but even saw no cause to acknowledge application.

As I say, Rest In Peace, Zwelakhe Sisulu (and may your tribalism be put in bed too as the great ANC heads for Mangaung to oust Jacob Zuma from power or face a national conflagration), I highlight the letter battles I waged with SABC tribalism championed by Zwelakhe Sisulu the late never to be missed

Dear Ntombi Langa-Royds, Madam

RE: REQUEST FOR NAMES, ADDRESSES, FAXES ETC. ON APPLYING

Thank you ever so much for your letter dated 98.01.19.  I have given your request a week-long thought and I have decided it is a premature expectation on your part that at this stage of the delicate matter in  question I could start jeopardizing both other people’s chances of continued employment [by Nelson Mandela's SABC] or my own chances of ever attaining justice in the matter.

Actually, the ball is not yet in my court, Madam, but in yours.

Surely, there must be guidelines or a policy the SABC uses to employ people especially  if

a)      They are qualified
b)      They are “affirmative-action” candidates
c)      They have spent more than 10 years actively involved in the liberation struggle that made it possible for people like me and you, Langa-Royds, to occupy the high positions we do in the South African society of today.

In the unfortunate event that you cannot put your finger on those guidelines, I advise you to ask the several PAC and ANC members now in your employ, what criteria they met to gain the said employment: Those comrades got jobs with commendable ease, considering that some of them hardly passed their diploma courses in the Tanzania School of Journalism I also went through with flying colors; considering also that some of them never had even half what experience I have working in the media.

If you find this information and share it with me, you will be doing nothing less or more than following the requirement of Section 195 (1) of the Constitution of the Republic of South Africa. Failing this, you can count on me never to cooperate with you again but, rather, to explore the many other avenues open to me in a search for justice, redress and accountability over this matter.

Yours in a  a brotherly, sincere and firm spirit

Manyanya Phiri

My dear Comrade Zwelakhe

RE: CONSISTENT UNFAIR DISCRIMINATION ON APPLYING FOR AN SABC JOB

Since 1994 to this day, some officials that I could name in your Corporation have seen it fit to discriminate against my application for a job.  As they never communicate to me why they take others (some of them my former colleagues in exile) to my exclusion, I still wish to know the reason.

I do understand, thoughh, that the Body under your able leadership has been metamorphosizing  into a leaner and more efficient machine.

Still, I am convinced, tht does not take away considrations for provisions of Section 5 of the Labour Relations Act (1995) on “protection of…persons seeking employment”.  Nor does it neutralize the SABC’s own, publicly professed commitment to affirmative action.

Even if it were the case tht some applicants who dearly need a job would still be kept out for years and for whatever reason, this would not trivialize priority consideration, sanctioned on innumerable platforms by President Madela, in favour of cadres who actively participated in the liberation struggle.

Accompanying this letter is an abridged version of my c.v. with the  the gut feeling that your office, in its wisdom, experience and vidsion for this nation, will say there is, after all, a job consideration for a person in my predicament, for which I would be highly grateful.

I am also sending a copy of this letter to Dr Mike Muendane MP and PAC Secretary General: As sure as there are individuals on the SABC side who made sure I’m left out, some PAC officials  must have had a finger in the pie.  As a corollary, it will be the solkution of my problems if your office liasises with [Muendane’s] on any query about my PAC status.  As for my prior active membership to the ANC, Comrade Queen Zondo, Secretary to [your mother] Mama and Mrs Albertinah Sisulu is the shortest way to knowing about “Terence Qwabe” (my nom de guerre)

Thanking you, Sir, I am

Goodman Manyanya Phiri

TO WHOM IT MAY CONCERN

This serves to certify that Goodman Manyanya Phiri was a bona fide pupil of Thembeka Senior Secondary School from 1979 to 1980.  During this period he showed himself to be respectful, diligent, trustworthy and he had a high sense of responsibility.  He was chosen as a class monitor in 1979.  It was a real pleasure to work with him.

I have therefore no reservations in recommending him strongly for any career that will require his qualifications and his tremendous potential.

(The College traditionally delved 60% of your certificate results from your monthly tests “Course Work Mark-CWM”and only 40% from your final examination “Examination Mark-EM” and thereafter gave you accordingly your Grade-“A” “B” etc.  The provisional results Report on hard copy shows actual marks achieved by Phiri but Blogger has himself done the percentage computation for CWM and EM even though the Over-all result is the school’s product and not Blogger’s.  Where there is an arithmetical discrepancy please default the Over-all result seeing that it is the official result for the any said subject. Also note: where there are no Grade allocations for a subject e.g. Research Methods, Typewriting and Pitman Shorthand, these were subjects that were passed the first year of my two-year Diploma Course and subjects that were a prerequisite for not only my graduations to the second year, but also my ability to cope with the more onerous demands of what would be Examination and Mark-graded subjects on the Second and Final Year where I made headline news in the Tanzanian media for being the first non-Tanzanian to do so well in a very tough course: so good of course as one of Tanzania’s seasoned wordsmiths, one Herald Taghama, a personable character with whom we referred to each other as “Taurus” because we were both of us born under that Star Sign and both of us topped the class of 1992 so most spectacularly)

PROOF THAT STATE PRESIDENT NELSON MANDELA RECEIVED PHIRI COMPLAINTS TO HIM ABOUT XHOSA-TRIBALISTIC AND UNFAIR DISCRIMINATION AGAINST ME BY ZWELAKHE SISULU AND MANDELA ELECTED TO DO NOTHING ABOUT WHAT IS IN ANY CASE HAD BEEN HIS DESIGN TO CREATE THE MYTH THAT HIS FELLOW XHOSA-SPEAKERS ARE BETTER ACHIEVER IN COMPARISON WITH OTHER BLACK SOUTH AFRICAN ETHNIC GROUPS.

At 15H30 South African time, the 16th February 1998 and per telephone call on 0800111502 by inquisitive Phiri, one Mr O’Donovan reported back: [“Your parcel and information sent for complaint to President Nelson Mandela and via Member of Parliament Gora Ebrahim carrying Number NR 187576105ZA was received by intended persons as per collection from the post office by one Ndumiso Tutani, on 8th February 1998”]

As follows is the reading on the chet from the post office that I had received after reporting to State President Nelson Mandela the tribalism and racism against me as practiced by Reverse Quadroon Zwelakhe Sisulu (his paternal charwoman of a grandmother was illegitimately impregnated by one British settler colonialist magistrate unsurprisingly named Dickens or something in order for him to have the father and Mandela’s mentor in tribalism pro-Eastern Cape named Walter Sisulu)

PICTURE OF CHIEF OF THE Zuma CHOICE FOR CHIEF OF SOUTH AFRICAN ARMY.  His father, together with Jacob Zuma, was notorious in exile for having habitually ordered the assault or/and murder of South African freedom fighters who opposed all forms of inequality in he camps.  One such victim was Zulu Prince Sipho Zulu, an acquaintance of mine who, fortunately (and very much unlike Phiri) has been remembered by Jacob Zuma for some lucrative post in some foreign mission.  In the attack that had been ordered on the Zulu Prince by South African Army Chief’s father, the late Andrew Masondo, something like his entire clavicle was dislodged as Mandelasque Xhosa tribalists assaulted the prince for his Zuluness in Angola in or before Year 1994 (and one of the reasons why there was mutiny in ANC military camps of exile around those days.  Of course, masters of the dissatisfaction were the 1940s-inspired Eastern Cape regionalists Nelson Mandela who was then jailed even though some in South Africa view his jailing to have been a mere dress-up as he was supposed to have been given free times at night by his jailor to go consort in Cape Town incognito while he was supposed to be under lock and key. Yeah, the man who is supposed to have seen this Mandela duplicity is longest-serving Robben Island Prisoner Jeff Masemola from Atteridgeville, Pretoria.  He as mysteriously assassinated via a Defence Force Military Vehicle just before Nelson Mandela was sworn in as head of state of South Africa in 1994 even before he could officiate his sighting of Mandela being nightly boated in and out of Robben by the Apartheid Regime when the whole world imagined he was for 27 years under lock and key!  Of course his partner in that crime of tribalism pro Eastern-Cape region was the momzer Walter Sisulu and father of equally tribalistic the late Zwelakhe Sisulu.)

Zuma addresses funeral service for Zwelakhe Sisulu
OCT 15, 2012 | KENICHI SERINO | 8 COMMENTS
Former journalist Zwelakhe Sisulu embodied the qualities needed for South Africa’s continued struggle against poverty and inequality, President Jacob Zuma said on Saturday.

         inShare

“That struggle calls for the type of sacrifice, dedication and commitment that comrade Zwelakhe displayed. It calls for supreme loyalty to the movement and the country,” Zuma said at Zwelakhe’s funeral in Randburg, Johannesburg.
Zwelakhe was one of the children of struggle stalwarts Walter and Albertina Sisulu.
Zuma said Walter and Albertina had dedicated themselves to building a new South Africa and their children shared in these values.
“Their children imbibed that spirit of dedication, commitment, patriotism and spirit of no surrender until freedom was gained in their country,” Zuma said.
His brother and Speaker of Parliament Max Sisulu agreed saying Zwelakhe had embodied the qualities of his family.
“He was calm and courageous, funny and warm, strong and loving,” Sisulu said.
Sisulu said Zwelakhe had “embodied the legacy of our parents” as well as being “the product of our struggle”.
During his remarks Sisulu was overcome with emotion asked for his wife, Elinor, to help him complete his eulogy.
He noted that Zwelakhe was his younger brother and “was supposed to follow protocol and not jump the queue”.
This was a testament to Zwelakhe who preferred to do things his own way, said Sisulu.
The funeral was attended by several political and media heavyweights, including Deputy President Kgalema Motlanthe, Minister in the Presidency Trevor Manuel, Congress of SA Trade Unions general secretary Zwelinzima Vavi and former president Nelson Mandela’s wife Graca Machel.
Among those attending the memorial was Zwelakhe’s friend and business partner, Deputy Chief Justice Dikgang Moseneke.
Zwelakhe and Moseneke together formed the first black-owned business to be listed on the Johannesburg Stock Exchange, New African Investments Limited.
However, their relationship went back further to when they were both activists against apartheid.
“He boasted an afro hair style. He had an African dashiki shirt and his fist was in the air more than any place else,” Moseneke recollected.
He and Zwelakhe both agreed not to go into politics, though Moseneke said Zwelakhe could have easily found a seat in Parliament.
“We could serve other people in other ways than politics,” Moseneke said.
“He had a near disdain for power.”
Zwelakhe, aged 61, died in his sleep in his Johannesburg home last Thursday.
In the 1980s Zwelakhe emerged as a champion of alternative media and freedom of expression and, as a result, was harassed and imprisoned.
He founded and became editor of The New Nation, which provided a platform for the liberation and mass democratic movement.
Zwelakhe was arrested and detained for lengthy periods without trial during the apartheid era. His harassment prompted international media organisations to call for his release.
He was also the founding leader of the union, the Media Workers’ Association of SA.
In 1994, Zwelakhe became group CEO of the SABC. He also served as a media officer for former president Nelson Mandela.
He is survived by his wife Zodwa, daughter Zoya, sons Moyikwa and Ziyeka, and granddaughter Lilitha.

HOW DOES THE LATE MANDELASQUE XHOSA TRIBALIST ZWELAKHE SISULU RELATE WITH ZULUMAN JACOB ZUMA

That answer is provided by a Sunday Times Newspaper expose, and a very diplomatic expose one must say on how the Mandelasque Xhosa tribalists overstaffed by all of them tribalists Nelson Mandela, Thabo Mbeki, and now Jacob Zuma with the latter's  sprinkling of ineffectual governmental appointments of fellow Zulu-speakers and the Indians who are predominantly from the Zulu-speaking province (KwaZulu-Natal of Jacob Zuma's) have affected the SABC.

Massive looting at SABC exposed

[by WRITERS] STEPHAN HOFSTATTER, MZILIKAZI WA AFRIKA and ROB ROSE | 07 October, 2012 09:41

THE looting spree that tore the SABC apart has been laid bare in explosive forensic reports, board minutes and internal correspondence obtained by the Sunday Times.

The newspaper has established that the cash-strapped public broadcaster:

Spent R196-million on a deal with Siemens which the SABC's internal auditors deemed an "irregular contract" that "delivered no significant value". SABC spokesman Kaizer Kganyago owns 10% of Siemens BEE partner Sedibeng, but says the deal was done before he arrived in 2006 and that he recused himself fromdiscussions involving Siemens;

Was guilty of "irregular expenditure" in giving the scandal-plagued ICT Indaba R3-million in sponsorship, including R1-million cash;

Agreed to give the Guptas' New Age newspaper free exposure worth millions on its Morning Live show, flood Auckland Park with thousands of newspapers staff don't want, and pay the paper R147251 to run advertorials;

Blew R1.6-million on a July Handicap extravaganza for 200 people, including 46 SABC staff, this year, even after claims surfaced that its directors embarrassed the broadcaster at last year's event by demanding extra booze be served worth R32000;

Bent its own rules to appoint politically connected Hlaudi Motsoeneng as chief operating officer at an annual salary of R1.6-million, then tried to suppress a report which found he had lied about failing matric twice;

Hired Justice Ndaba as its turnaround-strategy head and allowed him to keep working even after discovering he'd apparently forged three degrees, including an MBA, until he quit after reportedly becoming involved in a prostitution scandal when in London on SABC business;

and Has been told by the Special Investigating Unit to take disciplinary action against more than 300 staff for failing to declare their interests, while recommending criminal action in nine other cases.

In several instances, the SABC board has already taken action to deal with the culprits.

In an interview with the Sunday Times, board chairman Ben Ngubane rejected the view that this trail of disaster shows the SABC is far from being fixed, despite parliament appointing a new board to do that in 2009.

"It's no longer a sinking ship, [but] it may still be leaking a bit," he said.

Last month, the SABC suspended chief financial officer Gugu Duda for "procurement irregularities" amid suspicions that these could include her role in approving the ICT Indaba sponsorship.

Ngubane said two preliminary forensic audits into SABC's R3-million sponsorship of the ICT Indaba had been completed. "They point to a bad situation. We found it [to be] an irregular expenditure."

Duda declined to discuss the issue.

Ngubane admitted Ndaba's appointment had been an embarrassment to the SABC .

He said the "anomalies" were initially not reported to the board, but once they knew about Ndaba, they immediately acted.

However, e-mails show that even after Ndaba's forged qualifications were flagged in May 2011, he was still used by the SABC, including as an acting company secretary in July 2011.

Ndaba, a former employee at BHP Billiton, denies forging his qualifications or that he was caught with his pants down in London, claiming it was another unnamed person.

Ngubane was implicated in trying to bury an internal audit report that said Motsoeneng lied on an application form for an SABC job in 1995, when he claimed to have passed matric.

At a board meeting on May 4, Ngubane resolved that the issue of Motsoeneng's dodgy qualifications "be closed for further discussion by the board with immediate effect", refusing to hand the audit report to directors who'd requested it.

After being queried by the Sunday Times, Ngubane reversed his decision and tabled it this week at the board's governance committee, even though he said it was "riddled with holes".

He admitted it was "definitely policy" at the SABC for senior executives to have a matric, but said the board had the discretion to waive this requirement.

"In a COO, you are not looking for a theoretician," he said.

The revelations of new holes at the broadcaster come at a time when the SABC is looking for another R6-billion from taxpayers to implement its digital broadcast strategy, after getting an earlier R1.4-billion guarantee from the Treasury so it could borrow cash from Nedbank. Taxpayers already fund it to the tune of R1-billion in licence fees and government grants.

In a letter sent in April, Finance Minister Pravin Gordhan rejected the SABC's request to change the conditions of the guarantee, because the SABC had already broken its promises by not meeting profit targets, which he said "increases the risk to government arising from the guarantee".

Gordhan pointed out that the SABC's salaries had soared to R1.95-billion, while it had received only R388-million in sponsorship revenue, just more than half its target. "The initial issues that were the cause of the financial instability - cost escalations in excess of revenue growth - have not been adequately addressed," he said.

This week, the SABC released its annual report, which showed it was given a "qualified audit". Its failings included poor internal controls, unreliable financial information and meeting only 31% of 89 "delivery targets" it had set itself, ranging from skills retention to financial health.

Though the SABC posted a profit of R343-milliom, after making a R129-million loss last year, this appeared to be the result of slashing the amount it spent on buying film and programme rights from R1.7-billion to R1.3-billion.

Yet, the SABC still managed to spend R136-million on "irregular, or fruitless and wasteful expenditure" this year.

One thing the SABC didn't skimp on was striking a deal to buy New Age newspapers for its staff, a newspaper owned by the wealthy Gupta family, a benefactor of Jacob Zuma.

Motsoeneng, who entrenched his hold over the SABC this week by taking control of news, radio and sport, admitted he had met Nazeem Howa, CEO of New Age, to discuss buying the newspapers.

He agreed to buy 1800 copies a day. "As a person, I want everyone to read," he said, adding that the SABC "will only take newspapers according to our needs".

This is contradicted by e-mails seen by the Sunday Times that show the SABC's logistics division complained that no budget had been approved, and staff had asked for only 25 papers. It queried: "What do we do with the rest of the papers?"

Sully Motsweni, SABC compliance head in Motsoeneng's office, replied that TNA Media, the company that owns New Age, had "entered into an agreement with the SABC" for 1000 papers a day and one of the "deliverables" was "that we increase our newspaper subscription".

Staffers said the order was scaled back to 190 copies a day after widespread complaints that the broadcaster was spending a fortune on newspapers that weren't being read. Mo tsweni told the Sunday Times that ordering 1000 papers a day was "a trial that ended after one month".

New Age said it was "naturally disappointed" at the reduction. But the SABC is already giving New Age other benefits, broadcasting its 45-minute business breakfast on its Morning Liveprogramme, free broadcasting time that normally sells for R18000 for 30 seconds to companies seeking to profile their logo.

Though Motsweni refused to quantify the cost to the SABC, a senior executive who declined to be named said it was a "bad business decision".

The Sunday Times has also seen an uncensored version of a report by the Special Investigating Unit, the redacted version of which was presented to parliament last month. The report mostly covers wrongdoing predating the current SABC leadership. It found the SABC guilty of blowing R438.2-million in fruitless, irregular and wasteful expenditure between 2004 and 2009, and detailed nine criminal investigations.
